Crookwell Racing Pigeon Club has been established to enable some new ideas to be trialled with the primary objective to improve racing pigeon return rates without compromising on the standard of racing.

The goal is to enjoy a longer period of racing across the calendar year, undertaken in the most suitable seasons.

An Autumn twilight series will be trialled over relatively short distances prior to a Winter break.

Racing will recommence in Spring where a main series will be flown out to long distances.

The aim is to conduct races out to 1,000km (Burra S.A.) in the first year and 1,200 km (Blackall QLD) in the second year.

At the conclusion of the second year a full review of the successes and failures of this new venture will be undertaken prior to any goal setting or changes to be adopted for subsequent years.
